A New Set of Painting Tools for Creative Freedom(2023)
The moment art became my profession, drawing turned into a pressure to be 'perfect' rather than a joy. I began to lose my unique style and confidence. To overcome this, I looked back at my childhood, when every object around me was a potential drawing tool. Inspired by those memories, I created a new set of painting instruments using shapes from everyday objects like funnels and hoses.
These tools reject the need for precise control. Instead, through a 'Modular System' where users can swap and assemble parts as they wish, they encourage us to focus on the 'process of making' rather than the final image. Within this play, we find the freedom to draw like a child once again.
